Why he's running 600s and 400s indoors
"I'm doing this because I want to be number one in the world outdoors again in the 400 hurdles. I was number one in the world in 2006. In 2007 and 2008 I was number three and number two. I want to get back my crown."
On what he gets from indoors
the speed, the endurance, the strength, put everything together as one and become the number one outdoor 400m hurdler in the world. I want to go undefeated this year outdoors. I'm not trying to lose. That's my goal.
On the rest of his indoor season
No this is it. My best friend Sanya Richards is getting married the same week as indoor nationals. So I got to choose: nationals or my best friend's wedding. So I got to go with my best friend's wedding and then look toward the outdoor season.
