BOSTON (Feb. 2) –The teams are set. The athletes are fit and the snow will soon stop, hopefully. Let the racing begin.
As previously announced, the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will feature a team scored Junior Boys’ and a team scored Junior Girls’ mile race. On February 5th, top high school athletes from the New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and North Carolina area will come together at the Reggie Lewis Center and challenge a New England squad looking to defend its home turf. Team points for the event will be awarded as follows: 1st – 12 points, 2nd – 10 points, 3rd – 8 points, 4th – 7 points, 5th – 6 points, 6th – 5 points, 7th – 4 points, 8th – 3 points , 9th – 2 points, 10th – 1 point). Confirmed athletes include:

The Junior Invitational Mile races, which began in 2005, have become one of the annual highlights in Boston. Lukas Verzbicas, the nation's top prep miler in 2010, will be featured in the New balance Indoor Grand Prix Invitational Men's Mile.
